Stark Tech Gets Real.
Yesterday, we got to go to a science fair.
The nationwide Iron Man Innovator and Inventor Fair sought to bring together the youth of America who could make the fantasy of Stark innovation and bring it into the real world through realistic experiments and inventions. But these weren’t typical experiments or inventions…
The topics they chose and the experiments they conducted were not focused on just being experiments, but real-life tremendous assets to us in the future, or if possible, now.
From finding better treatments of cancer to constructing ways of replacing a lost limb, these young inventors and innovators took up the challenge of making life better with inspiration from a fanciful film franchise like “Iron Man.”
The finale, hosted at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, included a presentation of the 4 grand prize winners of the fair, as well as recognition of the final 12 that were chosen nationwide. Before the finale, the finalists got other cool experiences like a trip to Disneyland, an iPad, and the opportunity to show off their Iron-tech at the El Cap for a few weeks. And speaking of “Iron Man,” he, Robert Downey Jr., decided to show up on stage and recognize the gifts that America’s youngest and brightest minds could offer.

As Mr. Downey Jr. said “I hate to say this, but I’m humbled…” He speaks for the rest of the DisneyExaminer team through what we witnessed today. Be sure to stop by to check out these inventions after watching “Iron Man 3” at the El Capitan through June 19.
