It was a chilly, yet jolly holiday for a few hundred people who showed up to The Grove in Los Angeles, California yesterday morning. They were dressed as chimney sweeps for the world’s favorite chimney sweep made famous by the classic Disney film.
Today marks the 90th birthday of Disney Legend Dick Van Dyke, who played that charming character in Walt Disney’s “Mary Poppins”. He was as cheery as Bert when he showed up to the shopping mall surprised to see so many people there for him. And they didn’t just show up either.
Take a look at the video above to see the very fun flash mob that was created for Van Dyke as he watched from a restaurant balcony. He later came down to greet all the “Mary Mobsters” to sing some of his favorite Poppins’ tunes.
On behalf of everyone at DisneyExaminer, we wish Dick Van Dyke the happiest of birthdays!
