If you saw Hans Zimmer perform on a main stage at one of the most contemporary music festivals where the likes of Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar performed, I’m sure you’d be surprised.
But that actually did happen this past weekend! The award-winning composer stopped by the Coachella Music Festival in Southern California to perform many of his famous and rather hip movie scores with a full orchestra.
Among those movie scores was the one he composed for Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” films. You know the tune! You can watch the full score in the video player above.
Many have said that having Zimmer perform at a music festival like Coachella was a risky move, but based on the reception he got from the thousands of people who attended his 1-hour+ show, the risk very much paid off.
If you’re now wanting to see him perform live, you can do so when he plays a second show at Coachella during Weekend 2. If you aren’t going to be in the California desert for that, tickets are also now on sale for his world tour.
