“Great Bread Is Just The Beginning.”

That’s the company slogan behind La Brea Bakery and that really was clearly shown when we visited their booth at a local foodie event in Anaheim, California next week.

Taste of Anaheim is a gathering of Anaheim and the surrounding area’s best restaurants and we were there to cover and get a little taste ourselves since many of the restaurants represented are located at the Disneyland Resort!

La Brea Bakery has a presence on Disneyland Resort property too with the La Brea Bakery Café at the Downtown Disney District and they serve up La Brea Bakery’s famous bread…but so much more! From delicious artisan sandwiches and pastries to even granola, they have it all and you’ll want it all if you want to enjoy your day at the Happiest Place on Earth.

DE Gets A Taste Of Anaheim.

If there’s one thing that the DisneyExaminer Staff loves to do, it’s eat. So when we heard about an event where we could eat from some of Southern California’s best and upcoming restaurants, of course we said “Yes!”

Yesterday evening, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce held their 18th annual Taste of Anaheim at the Anaheim GardenWalk, just steps away from the Disneyland Resort.

The “foodie” event was pretty much a giant food tasting where restaurants from the city of Anaheim (including those from the Disneyland Resort) and surrounding areas offered their well-known and upcoming menu items for everyone to try…unlimitedly!

Although we were there covering the Disneyland Resort eateries like Flo’ V8 Café and our partners at the La Brea Bakery Café at Downtown Disney, we were pleasantly surprised at how many great restaurants there are in this part of Southern California. Take a look at our video above for a “sample” of what was.

For pictures of the food and the other things that went on during Taste of Anaheim, click HERE.

Bottom line - explore your cities and you’ll also be pleasantly surprised what you might find in your area…and probably in your stomach shortly after that!

A very special thanks to the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to share in this very popular and special event for their city. We love Anaheim (and their restaurants)!

DisneyExaminer Gets A “Taste Of Anaheim”
Aside from riding attractions at a Disney Park, there is one other thing that we all like doing at our favorite Disney Park and that’s eating!
The food at Disney Parks has been increasing in both quality and variety over the past few years - so much so that they’ve made it a point to show everyone so by participating in high-profile culinary events.
One of those events include a high-profile Southern California foodie event called Taste of Anaheim. For 18 years, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce has held this event that brings together the best restaurants in their city (including those located at the Disneyland Resort and inside its theme parks) for an evening of fun and food.
The event itself is pretty much a massive food tasting with all sorts of foods being offered from a lot of restaurants and we‘ve been graciously given the opportunity to cover this year’s Taste of Anaheim at the GardenWalk, all of which is just steps away from Disneyland.
Although we will be focusing on the Disney-set restaurants that will be represented like Flo’s V8 Café and our partners at La Brea Bakery, you can count on us to highlight the other great Anaheim restaurants as well so you can be in the know on where to go the next time you’re at Disneyland or in the Anaheim area!
Be sure to join us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for live updates on event day this Thursday, May 9.

La Brea Bakery Café @ Downtown Disney.

If you haven’t heard, we’ve been able to partner with some great companies to grow our business. We’re glad that many of those business have a love for Disney like we do and that includes our friends at La Brea Bakery.

Known for their delicious artisan breads, the La Brea Bakery carries on their vision of great bread through delicious food dishes that we can eat ourselves just steps away from the magic in Disney Parks.

The La Brea Bakery Café in the Downtown Disney District in California gives La Brea Bakery a place where they can show off their great bread through foods that can energize us before, after, and during our times at the Disneyland Resort.

Just last year, the Café was renovated to include more space for their full service and express service dining options, as well as a showcase kitchen giving center stage to fresh breads made daily in the Café itself!

Take a look at the video above to see what we’re talking about and be sure to visit the La Brea Bakery Café the next time you’re in Downtown Disney to get a taste of the magic that is La Brea Bakery.

La Brea Bakery’s Bread.
There’s one feeling that we all mutually share when going to a Disney Park and that feeling is hunger.
We need something to get our energy up after using much of it screaming on Space Mountain or waiting in line for Radiator Springs Racers and the easiest way to do that is through food!
We’ve been to the Disneyland Resort many times and we’ve tried many different food offerings, but one food offering that we enjoy would have to be the food from the La Brea Bakery Café in Downtown Disney.
We’re sure that you’ve seen their artisan breads at your local grocery store, but we hope you are able to stop by their Café for a bite the next time you are at the Resort because you’ll be able to finally try their delicious breads!
You can find their breads either in sandwiches, desserts, or even by themselves when you dine in the full service portion of the Café and we seriously think that the bread by itself is a meal to enjoy for you to get that energy to ride Space Mountain all over again.

We took a closer look at the revamped Café last year. See what we thought of in our exclusive article here.

With these blessings, we’ve been able to work with some great people and organizations who have done a lot to make DisneyExaminer the way it is - a place where we can inform and entertain you.
We do that through our photos and video. We do that with the help of companies that give us things to write about. But none of that is possible without the people behind all of these things and it was about time that we recognize and introduce them to you.

We’re glad to announce the DisneyExaminer Partners Program. Just like Walt Disney had many partners grow his dream, we hope to grow our dream of serving a greater number of readers by partnering with people and other organizations who share the same ideals we do.
Simply put, the DisneyExaminer Partners Program is a way to share other great businesses with our wide Disney/non-Disney audience. We are already working with some great organizations including La Brea Bakery, Rphotostudios, and D. Park Photography!
