The Lone Ranger.
Continuing our coverage of all the Walt Disney Studios film releases, we now turn our attention to a new film from the collaborative minds that made the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series.
Now we must tell you that most of us on the DE Staff are young(er) than most, but we do understand that the Lone Ranger was a fictional hero back in the day and that one of the characters said the famous line “Hi-Ho Silver, Away!”
That’s all we know and going blind into this film, we’re expecting to see new adventures in a new light!
Take a look at the newest trailer for the film above. Some of the synopsis has also been given out as well and is below –
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
As we said, the creative team is pretty much the same team that brought you Pirates and includes the film being directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski, with screen story by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe and screenplay by Justin Haythe and Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio.
The film will release in U.S. theaters on July 3, 2013.
