I’m Blue For You.

If there’s one thing that this current generation and generations past have in common, it would have to be the love for animated shorts. You know, the awesome, comedic, and heartfelt bits of animation that come before a featured film.

Pixar Animation Studios has spearheaded the comeback of these animated shorts, many of which have won Academy Awards! We’re happy to share that Pixar is currently putting their finishing touches on their newest animated short called “The Blue Umbrella.”

In addition to the short clip/video teaser above, we were given a short official synopsis by Disney about the short and we’ve included it below.

It is just another evening commute until the rain starts to fall, and the city comes alive to the sound of dripping rain pipes, whistling awnings and gurgling gutters.  And in the midst, two umbrellas—one blue, one not—fall eternally in love.

Yes folks, only Pixar can make umbrellas fall in love. Look for the full short to debut in front of the upcoming prequel “Monsters University” on June 21, 2013!
