Every university has its secrets and while some of them should stay secret, the ones at Monsters University are longing to be revealed. As some of you know, Disney*Pixar loves putting hidden “easter eggs” in their films for us to find. In their case, animators love putting in things that are iconic in their other films. We told you about some of these hidden gems in “Brave” in a previous post and now, we’re happy to share with you 3 more hidden gems found in “Monsters University.”

First,

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY

Notice the School of Scaring classroom number on the door? A113 is actually the classroom number of Pixar directors John Lasetter, Pete Doctor, Brad Bird, and Andrew Stanton when they attended CalArts, the arts college founded by Walt Disney. The number has made an appearance in every Pixar film to date!

Second,

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY

The famous Luxo Ball from Pixar’s first award-winning animated short “Luxo Jr.” makes another appearance as graffiti during the first Scare Games challenge.

And last but not least…

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY

The ever ready Pizza Planet truck from “Toy Story” makes an appearance as it makes a special delivery to a frat house off the MU campus.
