Here Are The Disney Nominees For The 2014 Annie Awards.

It has been dubbed as animation’s highest honor and for over 40 years, The Annie Awards have been a desire of those who work in the animation world creating animation for the Big and Small Screens. Having the Annies be the equivalent of the Oscars, the award is given out as recognition to those who have done breakthrough or memorable things in animated films. Disney, of course, has been a recipient of many Annies is year’s past and next year would be no exception.
Disney’s “Frozen” and “Monsters University” have both been nominated for the Best Animated Feature award. “Toy Story of Terror“, the first-ever Pixar Halloween special that aired on ABC earned a Best Animated Special Production nomination and “Get a Horse“, the animated short that plays before “Frozen” was nominated for Best Animated Short Subject. In addition to the films, many Disney animators who worked on these productions were also given nominations as they should be! A full list of nominations can be found HERE.
We’ll find out who wins what next year when the 41st Annie Awards will be given out live once again at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Saturday, February 1, 2014. The ceremony will be hosted by Patrick Warburton.
