It’s only normal that The Walt Disney Company likes to spread the Disney magic wherever and whenever they can, so it’s only fitting that they take that passion with people who really could benefit from it.
The Walt Disney Studios, in partnership with 40 hospitals around the United States, will have access to a new program called “Disney Movie Moments” The program will allow hospitals to play first-run Disney movies for their young patients. “Children’s hospitals across the country do amazing work, and while it would be impossible to match the level of compassion and impact that doctors, nurses, and child life specialists have on the life of a young patient, we hope to help these incredibly important people by bringing a little extra happiness and comfort to those in their care,” said Alan Bergman, president, The Walt Disney Studios.
The first of these movies to debut with the new streaming system is “Muppets Most Wanted” and will include other titles in the future as they release. Disney expects to roll out Disney Movie Moments to other children’s hospitals in the future.
