Remember how excited you were when you got to go on a field trip during grade school? What if your teacher came in and told you that your next field trip would be to “The Happiest Place on Earth?” Move over museums as Disney’s Youth Education Series is here!Disney Yes program

The Y.E.S. program is a combination of over 26 programs that take place in the Disney Parks. These educational programs are offered both at the Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World in Florida.

These programs differ featuring science, arts and humanities, and leadership to complement what students are learning in the classroom by bringing students in and around the theme parks for activities and ride time on attractions. For example, you could take a ride on Space Mountain to learn the concepts of physics or pay a visit to World Showcase at EPCOT to learn about different cultures. They’re all lead by a Disney facilitator who not only love teaching a subject, but love Disney too!

Students from elementary school to high school, in groups of 10 or more, can experience these programs that range from 2.5 to 3 hours. The programs are accredited and meet national standards with students from all 50 states and even from Europe and Asia taking part.

Your group doesn’t have to be affiliated with a school to participate in the program. Any youth organization including Scouts, sports teams, camps, and religious groups can participate as long as they reach the group size requirement of 10 or more people, but the Y.E.S. program does offer individual enrollment for students that aren’t part of a group to participate too. Additionally, there’s also a college edition of the program as well happening at the Walt Disney World Resort that offers three college level experiences designed to help students in college explore career opportunities.

Once you book your Y.E.S. program with your group, you’ll all get a ticket that entitles you to a three-hour guided, in-park educational experience. Theme park admission is required and is not included in the program fee. There is no charge for chaperones, but each chaperone is required to have or purchase park admission. In the end, you get to learn then play in the best theme parks in the world – greatest field trip ever!
