Here’s Everything Disney That’s Happening For Fall ’14.
Summer ends, school is back in session, and yet somehow it still manages to be warmer than it’s been all year here in Southern California.
Yet, something seems to be different in the air. All of a sudden the aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg reaches your nostrils every time you step into a grocery store. Coffee shops and bakeries seems to embrace the craze of “pumpkin spice” everything. You no longer see green but rather an array of red, orange and gold colors every where. That’s when you realize, autumn is here. Each of us have our own way of experiencing fall.

Though you might have thought our favorite Disney parks were more magical during the Christmas season, but fall has tons of delicious treats that are sure to satisfy that Disney sweet tooth of yours! From now through Halloween night October 31, you can enjoy all the spooky happenings with friends and family!
** HALLOWEEN DECOR GALOR **
Main Street U.S.A.
Walk down Main Street and you’ll find pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. See if you can spot the same pumpkin twice. Also, don’t forget to take a picture with the enormous Mickey Pumpkin that greets you with a smile as you enter!
Frontierland
Take notice of the vibrant, traditional skeleton display that represents Dia de los Muertos in Frontierland.
Attractions
Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain are fan favorites at Disneyland. During the fall season, these favorites are annually transformed to provide guests with a ghoulishly good time!
- Haunted Mansion Holiday:The mansion just got more festive. You are sure to meet hitch-hiking ghosts along the way, but don’t forget to greet Jack Skellington. The ride has been invaded by characters from the “The Nightmare Before Christmas” film to combine Halloween and Christmas. Because why not!
- Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy: In this ride, you usually find yourself defying gravity and tearing through space. During the fall season, you’ll find yourself trying to escape the clutches of wicked ghosts while traveling through space at thrilling, chilling speeds!
** Tricky Treats **
No fall holiday (let alone Halloween) would be complete without the treats! (Tip: keep a look out for Halloween time menu items displayed in front of restaurants, or ask cast members about seasonal items)
- Pumpkin beignets: These ever-popular, sugary New Orleans-style donuts are back with pumpkin flavors inside doused with generous amounts of powdered sugar!
- Caramel apple smoothies from Schmoozies in California Adventure Park: Caramel, apple flavoring, ice cream. Done.
- Seasonal candy apples and sweets at the Candy Palace on Mainstreet (connected to the Penny Arcade): Because the Evil Witch told us to get one.
- Pumpkin spice latte at the Market House/Starbucks on Main Street U.S.A.: It goes great with the pumpkin beignets!
- Fireworks: the spectaculars in front of the castle that will have you screaming for more this time around (especially if you see the special Halloween Screams show if you’re attending Mickey’s Halloween Party)!
- Happiest Haunts Guided Tour: a ghastly great tour for those looking to see how the hidden hauntings in and around the park. For specific details on dates and prices, click here.
- Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Mountain Ranch in Frontierland: Here you’ll get to meet your villainous Disney friends, pet the live animals dressed for the season at the petting zoo, play some carnival games, watch pumpkin carvers create masterpieces, and create a masterpiece of your own with Halloween crafts!
Disney Interactive
The fall weather might keep you indoors, but that’s no reason to not have fun. Entertain your friends and family this season by bringing home the magic with any of these games that are available this fall!
- Disney Infinity 2.0: Features more than 20 new interactive figures from across the Marvel universe. It is now also equipped with an all-new Toy Box mode that makes it easier for players to share their creations and levels with family and friends. Available now!
- Fantasia – Music Evolved: Inspired by Disney’s classic animated film “Fantasia”, this musical motion video game players enter the magical realm of Fantasia and explore their magical musical skills as the legendary sorcerer Yensid’s new apprentice. Available October 21, 2014.

Walt Disney Studios
Feel like taking a break from all that gaming? The movie folks over at the Studios are providing some great upcoming films that you can watch with the whole family this season, too.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
A popular children’s book by Judith Viorst has been adapted into a comedic family film that is sure to entertain audiences. Characters undergo numerous misfortunes throughout the film that are certain to get us laughing. Who knew bad days could be so funny? Or better yet, that bad days could bring those families together?
In theaters October 10.
Big Hero 6
Walt Disney Animation Studios has presented us with popular movies like “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Frozen”. Now get ready for the launching of something totally fresh this fall.
This will be the very first animated Disney action-adventure film (with some Marvel influence) and it is expected to become a family favorite just like their previous movies were. Take on the adventure with Baymax and Hiro as they team up with group of high-tech heroes in attempts to save the day!
