Very Bad May Mean Very Good: a review of Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”

Bad days. We all have them, but what makes them better?

“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” tries to show that those days aren’t the end of the world with the help of the people around you, namely your family. With a talented and comedic cast like Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner playing two very busy parents and Ed Oxenbould, Dylan Minnette, and Kerris Dorsey as modern-day kids, it’s possible that this movie will touch audiences of all ages.

Still, we have to wonder – will the movie live up to the popularity of the classic children’s story book it’s based on? How can we get through bad days? Does having family even help?

Perfectly suited for a family movie review we have Melody Poblete, a mother, wife, and avid Disney fan sharing her thoughts on Alexander’s story and whether or not it lives up to Disney’s standard of the classic, feel-good family film.
