Awesome Blu-Ray Vol. 1: [Guardians of the Galaxy Blu-Ray Review]

Still hooked on that feeling of wanting more “Guardians of the Galaxy“? The Blu-ray and DVD versions will be coming out tomorrow, December 9, just in time for Christmas!
Both versions, of course, contain a full version of the movie. The Blu-ray version in particular is complete with audio and subtitle options and visuals in crystal clear HD. It’s especially perfect for anyone who really wants to appreciate the film’s visual effects – and there’s a lot to appreciate.
In addition to the film’s goodness, you’ll get a lot of special features on the Blu-ray edition that’ll take you further into the world of Marvel’s next big franchise. The special features on the disc include:
- Deleted and Extended Scenes: a look into scenes that didn’t make it into the final cut. This special feature is especially fun because it allows audiences to see how certain parts of the movie were filmed before the final special effects were added on!
- Optional commentary
- Featurettes –
- A Guide to the Galaxy with director James Gunn: a fun look at the making of Guardians of the Galaxy (complete with an 8-bit intro!)
- A Special look at the special effects of Guardians of the Galaxy
- An exclusive look at Age of Ultron
- Gag Reel: hilarious outtakes including the now viral video of the dance off between Ronan and Star-Lord
- Audio Commentary of the full movie with director James Gunn
- Sneak Peeks for future Marvel movies and DVD/Blu-ray releases
All these special features will ultimately give you a fuller appreciation of the film and excite you for it’s upcoming sequel. Whether you’re buying it as a gift for someone else (or really for yourself), this Blu-ray (or DVD) will make a great purchase fit for any Star-Lord this holiday season!
