Disney’s CEO is a lot like a Los Angeles Clippers point guard.

In our everyday, you might not think that you could associate a business leader and an NBA player. They have two entirely different professions with different skills that are required of them. Yet for Disney’s CEO Bob Iger and Clippers point guard Chris Paul, they apparently have quite a lot in common.

In the above video released by AOL recently, the two shared a day together at Disney Company HQ to discover just how alike they were. Throughout the video, we see both Iger and Paul exchange conversations about their early upbringings and what lead to where they are today.

“I see Chris not just as a basketball person, but as a real leader,” Iger said in the video commenting on just one of the reasons how he relates to Paul, whereas Paul feels he can relate to Iger in “being successful while having kids.”

Life aspects like these make up all the Win/Win videos that AOL puts out which all aim to bring together “the biggest names in business [to] join a famous athlete for a day of honest conversation, fun and surprising insights.”

However what makes this particular video series most interesting though is how real you get to see Iger as a person and not as a business leader – from the videos opening sequence where Iger shows Paul a picture they took with his family and commenting on how he looks “old and fat” to the end of the video where Paul invites Iger to a friendly game of basketball.

Both get deeply personal about his taking risks, challenging adversity with competitiveness, and how to deal with pressures of the job and at home.

What you’ll ultimately come away with after watching is a respect for the successes these two have gained, but how they gained it as well. They are two human beings who followed different paths, but are still human making success not necessarily with pixie dust, but with just being themselves wanting to do more than average things.
