Here are the major presentations happening at this year’s D23 Expo
A big part of the excitement of the D23 Expo are the major presentations. Each of these presentations are always extremely popular because of the news-making announcements!
This year’s presentations aim to do just that in a new custom venue called Hall D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center that will give even more access to Expo attendees (7,500 to be exact).
Here are this year’s presentations that you best not leave out of your Expo plans:
Friday, August 14
To open the Expo, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger will host the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, inducting more talented people to Disney’s own hall of fame.
Later on that day, the Walt Disney Studios hosts its first of two sessions in Hall D23 with a look at its animated film slate with exclusive first-looks at Zootopia, Moana, and Pixar’s Finding Dory.
Saturday, August 15
The second Studios’ panel happens with a look at their next live-action films. Attendees to this session will be treated to sneak peeks at Alice Through the Looking Glass and The Jungle Book to name a few. Yes, you can expect something from both Lucasfilm and Marvel at this presentation, too. We’re also expecting special guest appearances from the cast of some these films, so bring your cameras!
Saturday afternoon’s big presentation belongs to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts where we’ll get to first meet the new chairman of the segment Bob Chapek as he guides us through the new experiences that will be coming to Disney’s destinations around the globe (Hint: Star Wars?).
In addition to Disney’s announcements, we’ll have our own big announcement to make in regards to the Expo, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest D23 Expo news.
