The day of “love” has come and gone! Let’s all be honest and say that we are relieved that we have survived this endearing yet stressful holiday! Let’s also be honest that this day wasn’t a home run for some of us this year.

So the romantic date that you meticulously planned wasn’t a success? You were single on yet another Valentine’s Day? The person you yearn for spent this holiday with someone that wasn’t you? Here is a playlist that let’s you wallow in your sorrows! I now present a Disney Heartbreak Playlist. Now grab a tub of ice cream, a pepperoni pizza (not a slice, the whole pie), a box of tissues, and just let the tears stream down your face.

DISNEY HEARTBREAK PLAYLIST

Now all these songs on this playlist will give you all the feels, but there are front runners on this soundtrack that will make you bawl your eyes out. Let’s take a closer look at the songs that will make your heart sob.

TOP FIVE DISNEY HEARTBREAK SONGS

5) “If I Never Knew You”| Pocahontas

This song didn’t make it into the actual movie, but it was heard throughout the end credits. The song was originally supposed to be in the scene where Pocahontas and John Smith see each other before he is sentenced to death. This beautiful, heartbreaking song tells how two people who are not going to end up together are glad that they were in each others’ lives, even if it was just for a short amount of time.

4) “Married Life”| UP

Though there are no lyrics, this score perfectly illustrates a long happy marriage. The whole montage of Ellie and Carl’s marriage brings tears to your eyes. From the ups to the downs of their time together you can’t help but yearn to have that kind of love. The last part of the score is always a tear-jerker as we see Carl sitting on the altar, holding one balloon. #sobbing

3) “I Will Go Sailing No More”| Toy Story

The infamous “When She Loved Me” in Toy Story 2 is one of the most gut-wrenching Disney song ever created, but Randy Newman’s “I Will Go Sailing No More” is an overlooked, heartbreaking song that tells the story of Buzz realizing that he is just a toy, and that he can’t fly. A reality that crushes your dreams is a hard pill to swallow.

2) “Someone’s Waiting For You”| The Rescuers

In The Rescuers, orphan Penny sings this song because she has never been adopted. This song portrays that feeling of waiting for someone to come, and you just keep on waiting. So for all you singles out there remember that someone’s waiting for you.

1) “So Close”| Enchanted

Have you ever wanted to be with someone, but something is stopping you? Were there times where you were so close to telling them how you feel, but you just let the moment slip away? In Enchanted we see this happening between Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey). “So Close” is THE song to listen to if you feel like you should be with someone, but can’t because of certain circumstances. You and that certain person are meant to be together, for some reason it never falls into place! You two are so close and still so far…

So whether you are in your car or in your bed, here is a Disney Hearbreak Playlist that you can cry your eyes out to. Don’t be embarrassed about all your feelings! Don’t bottle up all those feelings, and have a good cry. It will make you feel a lot better, TRUST ME:’)
