If you bought “The Force Awakens” soundtrack on vinyl, it comes with a free hologram

What happens when you blend the past with the future? You get the coolest nostalgic must-have thing on the planet (so far).

The thing I want to share with you right now is the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens soundtrack vinyl record. To the naked eye, it’s a traditional record with grooves that turn into tunes when played. The moment you shine a light on top the record, however, that’s when traditional meets the future.

Just like what we’ve seen at concerts and TV, a hologram appears looking as if is hovering right above the record! According to The Verge, record makers had to hand carve micro-reflectors into the surface of the record. Those are microscopic mirrors perfectly placed to achieve the effect.

The two record set has two different holograms “programmed” into their B-sides and only costs $50 on the Disney Music website. It’s the perfect addition for any Star Wars fan who wants to bring the movie into their homes. Besides the movie.
