The Girl Meets World Writers’ Twitter account confirmed in early January that the show was officially coming to an end.

It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over

— Girl Meets Writers (@GMWWriters) January 5, 2017

This means that the show’s season 3 finale, appropriately titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” will be the final episode of the series’ run on Disney Channel.

“Girl Meets Goodbye” will show the Matthews family making big decisions that’ll radically change their relationships with other characters – especially the friendship between Riley and Maya.

Buzzfeed Entertainment reports that a number of the original cast of “Boy Meets World,” including Eric (Will Friedle), Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), and even both Morgans (Lily Nicksay and Lindsay Ridgeway) will reunite in this final episode. You can see a special sneak peek of the episode in the clip below:

“Girl Meets World” has dedicated audience, and many fans are already hoping that the show will make its way to Netflix or Hulu. While nothing has been confirmed, creator Michael Jacobs has told TVLine that, “[t]here are talks underway, but we’re at the very very beginning stages.”

As the audience and cast of “Girl Meets World” grows up, perhaps we’ll get to see how Riley and her friends and family meet the world as more mature characters – but, as of this point, no plans to move the show have been confirmed, making this episode a possible final look at this fan-favorite show.

You can watch “Girl Meets Goodbye,” on Friday, January 20th at 6:00 PM on Disney Channel.
