Heroes Meet Hollywood at the ‘Big Hero 6’ LA Premiere
A Disney animated film.
Which means a lot of things including the fact that we rid ourselves of “Frozen” and burn with delight in the next story from Disney Animation!
Disney’s “Big Hero 6” had its premiere at the Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre, but before the celebrities and VIP guests entered for their screening, they had to meet and greet the world that was the media…including us. But first, we had to take a trip to San Fransokyo to make it to the red carpet!
Actually, we really were still in Hollywood and San Fransokyo was brought to us with crews building the massive skyline and Golden Gate Bridge-esque landmark right in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard with the red carpet running right through it all! I suppose it was something to expect as a movie with the word “big” in it has to debut in a larger than life way.
After scouting our spot, saying hello to Baymax atop Jimmy Kimmel’s studios, and grabbing a special can of “Big Hero 6” CoCo Joy coconut water, we were ready to chat with the celebrities and VIPs!

Unfortunately, many of the other celebrities were in a rush to get into the screening because the red carpet interviews started late, but we were still happy to have meet and chat with them at the press junkets we had the chance to participate in. As you heard from our interviews and previous stories surrounding the film, we think the common thread through it all is the excitement that the film has created. As producer of “Feast” Kristina Reed put it, “It’s an amazing time to be at Walt Disney Animation” and we couldn’t agree more for the simple fact that Disney animation doesn’t need Olaf to thrive, but all the loving people who took part in making “Big Hero 6” who want to make us “feel” all over again.
Here’s to them, the heroes of animated film.
Our thanks again to our friends at The Walt Disney Studios for allowing us to cover the premiere!
