10 of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” outfits that channeled Disney characters
Disney is all about magic, and I can argue that Queen B is magic herself. As an avid fan of both Disney and Beyoncé I’ve always wanted to write a story about the two subjects, but didn’t know how to make them coincide. Bring in Beyoncé’s album movie “Lemonade,” which premiered on HBO on April 23.
After watching this visual masterpiece a bomb diggity story idea came into play: some of Bey’s gorgeous outfits in “Lemonade” are reminiscent of Disney characters! BOOM! Here are 10 of Beyonce’s “Lemonade” outfits that totally channeled Disney characters (with some of my favorite lyrics from this album).
1. Jane|Tarzan
Hold up, they don’t love you like I love you. (“Hold Up”)
2. Cinderella|Cinderella
I am the dragon breathing fire. (“Don’t Hurt Yourself”)
3. Bagheera|The Jungle Book
I’m prayin’ you catch me listening. (“Pray You Catch Me”)
4. Tiana|Princess and the Frog
Tough girl is what I had to be. (“Daddy’s Lesson”)
5./6. Ariel|The Little Mermaid
I made you cry when I walked away. (“Sandcastles”)
7. Clayton|Tarzan
Are you aware you’re my lifeline, are you tryna kill me. (“Love Drought”)
8. Charlotte La Bouff|The Princess and the Frog
Go back to your sleep in your favorite spot just next to me. (“Forward”)
9. Jasmine|Aladdin
Six inch heels, she walked in the club like nobody’s business. (“6 INCH”)
10. Pocahontas|Pocahontas
Hey! I’ma keep running. Cause a winner don’t quit on themselves. (“Freedom”)
Beyoncé is a popular icon, and so is Disney. As you can see, these two subjects do mesh well with another with not only the fashion, but also the creativity put out from this artist and corporation. So for all you Disney fans out there:you’re welcome, and for all of you in Beehive: you’re welcome, and for all you Disney and Queen B fans: YOU ARE WELCOME!
