That’s the age that you have to be in order to enter a U.S.-based Disney Park if you plan on entering the the Park by yourself.

It used to be that many parents living around the Disney theme parks would just drop off their kids and literally have Mickey and the gang babysit them while they did their things. It was what many of us on staff here at DisneyExaminer did almost every weekend – annual pass and spending cash in hand.

Now that this new policy has been put in place most recently at the Disney Parks at the Disneyland Resort in California, parents and kids alike will have to find a new place to hang and settle down in.

The new policy, which will go into effect at Disneyland and DCA beginning Saturday, March 23, really isn’t new as it is now in place in all Disney Parks in the U.S. including all of them at Walt Disney World in Florida.

How will this policy be implemented? Since many minors below that age don’t have official IDs, Cast Members will be approach those who look young and ask if they are of age.

So be warned, parents (and kids)! Sometimes staying young can stink.
