Disney knows how to create some of the most attractive animated males you have ever seen on-screen. From personality to looks, these guys were some of your first crushes you ever had as a child. They were the outlines of your ideal boyfriend and who you wanted to marry one day. These animated characters were literally your “Prince Charming.”

We took 15 Disney animated male characters and ranked them from “bleh” to “hot.” Looks, personality, and action were factors in making this list so some of these people listed here can be questionable, but if you read why they were chosen, it will all make sense! This list may get really intense so grab a cold beverage, sit in an air-conditioned room, and let’s get this party started!

15. Prince Hans

I’m not going to lie. When I first watched Frozen, I thought that Prince Hans was the complete package in the beginning. “Love Is an Open Door” was a perfect duet that you would totally want to belt out with him. Who doesn’t want someone to finish each other’s sandwiches with? Unfortunately, he was a complete douchebag by the end of the film! He was conniving, evil, and just a plain jerk and that’s why he is at the bottom of this list! #YOUSUCKHANS

14. The Prince/Prince Charming

I honestly can’t tell these two guys apart, hence they are paired together for #14 on our list! These men are the definition of your basic prince that you find in classic fairy tales. They are good-looking and there to help the leading lady have a better life with their royal status, but there isn’t that much substance to them. Compared to other Disney leading males, they’re pretty bland.

13. Prince Philip

Prince Philip was Disney’s great start for giving the male counterpart more personality. He had an actual name, which is a bump up from the princes featured in previous movies before Sleeping Beauty. What was great about Prince Philip was that not only did he talk, sing and dance, but he also slayed a dragon to get to Princess Aurora. Actions speak louder than words, and he proved that to be true.

Looks aren’t everything. Sometimes what makes a person the most attractive is not by how handsome they are, but how big of a heart they have. Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame fits that bill. Yeah, he has some deformities, but he is one of the most sweetest, loyal, talented, and giving Disney males ever drawn. I’m sure he would make any girl’s heart ring like a thousand bells!

Blonde hair, blue eyes, and Mel Gibson’s voice. John Smith was the only colonial captain to make a pointy steel helmet look so good. What was great about him was how open-minded he became throughout Pocahontas. Being the type of guy to try new things from a different culture, and listen to foreign beliefs with respect gives you brownie points in being a dreamy Disney male character.

One thing that Prince Naveen had over any other animated Disney male was his swag. The way he walked, talked, and played his ukulele would make all the ladies in the South swoon over him. Sure he was a bit cocky and arrogant in the beginning of The Princess and the Frog, but he toned it down by the end, and learned about hard work from Princess Tiana.

9. Tarzan

No man can rock dreads and wear a loincloth like Tarzan. Though he is a man of few words, his action did speak loudly! He not only had an extremely fit physique, but he showed his athleticism by swinging from branch to branch. It’s not all fun and games for this jungle man! He showed a lot of courage and leadership when he protected his loved ones; human and ape.

Anyone can get lost in Prince Eric’s gorgeous blue eyes. He is the boy next door that all the girls would chase after. He is definitely a dreamboat that can make you melt with just a smile, and flute-playing that can make your heart flutter like a million butterflies. He is the guy that you wouldn’t mind getting lost at sea with.

7. Shang

Shang was a man’s man, which was extremely attractive. He was a leader, tough, forward, and knew what he wanted. He was the alpha male that could protect you and make you feel safe. Even though he was the epitome of macho-ness, he also was a team player and saw that even women can kick butt in the Chinese army! Any man who believes in the equality between men and women gets a stamp of approval in my book.

6. Kristoff

This guy is probably the most down to earth Disney male character ever created. He was charming with his sarcasm and had a very chill personality (no pun intended). Kristoff was the type of guy that tells you as it is, but also would think about your feelings. He is extremely reliable and always helpful, and that is what any person would want in a significant other.

5. The Beast (aka Prince Adam)

The Beast had the most major makeover out of all Disney animated males, and I’m not just talking about physically. Yes, he does turn back into a gorgeous prince with piercing blue eyes and beautiful locks that would get him in a Pantene Pro-V commercial, but the improvement in his attitude was what put him on the top five of our list! If the Beast was on The Bachelorette, he would surely get a rose every time during the elimination round.

4. Hercules

This man literally came down from heaven! If you need more proof of why he is on the top of this list, he is the flippin’ divine hero that saved both Ancient Greece and Mount Olympus. Not only did he prove his worth to become an immortal god, he gave it all up to live a happily ever after with his beau! If that doesn’t prove him as a keeper, then I don’t know what will!

3. Aladdin

Known as a street rat turned into a diamond in the rough, everybody loves an underdog. Aladdin is one of those guys that was just adorable and charming all at the same time. Sure he was from the wrong side of the tracks, but you can’t deny that being with him would be one epic adventure that you wouldn’t regret. I mean, he totally pulled off MC Hammer pants and not a lot of men can do that!

2. Flynn Rider (aka Eugene Fitzherbert)

The hair, smile, dreamy gaze, and smolder puts Flynn Rider as #2 on our list. He is the complete package of what you want in a man. He was the perfect balance of being a bad boy and having a sensitive side. He was hilarious, adventurous, heroic, and the homeboy could rock a satchel. He was an overall good guy, but also had some edge that made him simply irresistible. Anyone would be lucky to have this man by your side while roaming through a forest or watching beautiful lanterns on a romantic gondola ride. After watching Tangled, you knew that Flynn Rider was your new dream man.

Okay, now I know that Simba isn’t technically a “man,” but we need to take a moment to adore this beautiful beast! You would think that you couldn’t love him anymore as a lion cub when JTT was the voice actor, but then “Hakuna Matata” started playing and Simba turned into some hot stuff when he was strutting along that log with Timon and Pumbaa. When he gets his full mane of hair and steps off that log as a grown lion and sings, “It means no worries for the rest of your days!” your jaw just drops to the floor and all you can mouth out is, “WOW!” Who needs a prince when you can have a king.
