Your 2014 Disney Holiday Gift List Is Here!

Christmas may be several months away, but at The Walt Disney Company, Christmas is already in full swing. Disney Consumer Products hosted their 2014 Holiday Product Showcase at their headquarters in the Grand Central Creative Campus in Glendale, Calif. last week for a special media preview of what will be under their tree this coming holiday season.

Of the array of shiny new toys gracing the shelves this fall and winter from DCP, many are Toy Story-esque in their interactive aspects, with the ability to walk, talk, sing and dance. Disney has pulled out all the stops, bringing items sure to make the wish list of girls and boys of all ages.

Girls can look forward to their favorite Disney characters, like Frozen’s Elsa, coming to life. Frozen Snow Glow Elsa puts on her own light show at the press of her snowflake necklace, which illuminates her dress. Elsa’s arms can be raised to hear the fan favorite and Oscar award-winning song “Let It Go.” Frozen Snow Glow Elsa can say 15 sounds and phrases from the movie and sing in 25 languages, with two languages available in each country (The U.S. version will come in English and Spanish, but only available in English within the first month on shelves). Olaf comes alongside Elsa to create the complete package, which will be available starting in the fall for $34.99.

Planes: Fire & Rescue will fly onto shelves, bringing what is likely to be a popular pick for the boys with Mattel’s Fire Blastin’ Dusty. Air racer Dusty Crophopper makes realistic sounds and speaks phrases triggered by Smart Sound technology to enhance the play experience. Dusty comes with “water” balls stored in the plane pontoons that can be used to shoot the “fire” targets by aiming and pulling Dusty’s lever. Planes: Fire & Rescue Fire Blastin’ Dusty is available in stores now for $49.99.

Disney is also taking part in one of Japan’s recent trends, releasing an exclusive line of the adorable and cuddly “Tsum Tsums.” The Disney “Tsum Tsum” Plush Collection is available in a plethora of the cutest Disney characters, in three different sizes: mini, middle and large. This cute cast of characters is perfect as a stocking stuffer or an especially sought after gift for “Tsum Tsum” collectors. The soft plush versions are complemented by the Disney “Tsum Tsum” App, available at the App Store and Google Play. “Tsum Tsum” prices vary by size: mini – $4.95; medium – $12.95; large – $24.95. The exclusive collection is available at DisneyStore.com and select Disney Store locations now.

We can’t forget that Disney Interactive will be releasing Disney Infinity Version 2.0 just in time for the holiday season. With brand new characters from some of this years most popular movies including Guardians of the Galaxy and new innovative features, Disney Infinity ups the ante from its first version. The game provides an immersive experience into a world that each player can customize down to the smallest of details made possible through the use of power discs in play mode. The possibilities in customization are virtually endless on the Disney spectrum. From the characters, to costume changes and weapon choices, to the buildings surrounding the scene, the player has complete control over how they play the game. Users can play the game as their favorite Marvel Avenger while traveling the streets of New York with the help of Buzz Lightyear’s jetpack. This is just one of many ways to enjoy the game. With the seemingly infinite customizations, this new version will surely live up to its name. Disney Infinity 2.0 is the perfect present for the avid gamer or even the Disney enthusiast who isn’t particularly into gaming. The complete experience hits retailers this September, with pieces ranging from $4.99 to $74.99 to build a complete and customized set.

Thanks to the creativity from the great minds at Disney Consumer Products and their synergy between Disney’s many business segments, this holiday season will be filled with plenty of Disney magic for all ages at affordable prices.
