33 Miramax films you didn’t know were actually Disney movies

After the difficulties the Walt Disney Company faced in the 1980s, the 1990s required change. In 1990, Team Disney (Frank Wells, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Michael Eisner) declared it would be “The Disney Decade” and in 1993, The Walt Disney Company acquired Miramax Films for $60 million. Harvey and Bob Weinstein remained at the helm of the company, operating independently of the Disney company but Disney had final say on what was released. The acquisition allowed Disney to further expand their reach. With Miramax, they were able to venture into a market for a slightly older demographic. The purchase also came with Dimension Films, a subsidiary of Miramax.

Disney maintained control of the company until 2010 when it was sold to Filmyard Holdings. During those 17 years, many films were released. Some of the most notable films include:
