A Blast From Walt’s Past!
How will the new DCA greet you? Through Buena Vista Street of course! The new entryway for the new Park will immerse guests in a time that began “magical” time as Walt Disney first came to Los Angeles, California to make his mark on the world.
Although we have seen much of the construction of the stores and eateries, we’ve heard nor seen anything in regards to entertainment…until now. A street without entertainment would be boring, you know.
As guests walk into the Park, they will be greeted by a lively bunch of Cast Members dressed as folks who lived in the late 1920s and early 30s, each bringing a different experience and story to tell.
Among some of the new performers are the Red Car News Boys (1st picture at top). They will be doing what they are called – telling (and apparently handing and singing) out the latest news headlines as they enter on one of the Red Car Trolleys that will be going to and fro throughout the day.
In addition, Carthy Circle will be home to Five & Dime (pictured below), a jazz-esce musical group from Chicago that comes to Hollywood in hopes to make it big (just like Walt)!
We can’t wait to meet all these characters in person when Buena Vista Street, along with Cars Land and the whole new DCA opens to the public on June 15! Will you be there?
