A Living Toy Story.

We’re sure it always occurred to you after watching the “Toy Story” movies that you wish your toys came to life and spoke to you. Or maybe that was just us.

Anyways, the fact that Pixar could tell a real life story with drama, heart, and happiness with mere toys through animation is a feat in itself, right? But one such group of friends decided to take it up another level – what if you could tell that same award-winning story in real life with real toys?

Hence the “Live-Action Toy Story Project” was born. It started with 2 friends, which quickly grew to 150 friends and after 2 years, the video was launched on YouTube last week. It has already been viewed 8 million+ views.

They recreated the WHOLE movie folks and as you’ll see, it’s incredibly detailed, and accurate to the original “Toy Story” film. Enjoy it in its full form in the video above.

Oh, and their work paid off. Pixar executives saw the video and decided to have the filmmakers distribute their version of the film in front of Pixar’s offices in Emeryville.

Congrats, Jonason and Jesse!
