A Window Of An Opportunity – Disney Imagineer and Legend Alice Davis Gets Main Street USA Window

Monday Night at a special Club 33 event, It was announced that Alice Davis, an Imagineer and Disney Legend, would be given her own window on Main Street U.S.A.

Alice Davis is known for her costume designs on various rides in the Disney Parks, some attractions she’s worked on are It’s a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean. 

Her career first started when she was making costume designs while Walt Disney Studios was working on the movie “Sleeping Beauty”.

She hit her first big time costuming project when she and fellow Imagineer Mary Blair, supervised the costumes that were being made for more than 150 dolls in the world famous ride It’s A Small World.

Two years after, she transformed her husband, Marc Davis’, drawings for Pirates of the Caribbean into the actual thing that is now used for the ride itself.

Disneyland will proudly unveil Alice Davis’ Main Street U.S.A. window on May 10th, 2012! We hope to be there to witness such a wonderful person receive such a fitting honor.
