“A Wrinkle in Time” has just cast its lead – here’s what we know so far

Favorite children’s story A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle, is finally making headway as a Disney movie. While we don’t know too much about the movie yet, we do know enough to speculate what it might be like.

Here’s what we do know about the film:

Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah Winfrey will play Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, respectively.

These three powerful women will no doubt do excellently in their roles in the movie.

Their twitter announcement also revealed that:

Storm Reid will play Meg Murry

Reid (12 Years a Slave, The Summoning) will no doubt make an excellent Meg.

The film will be directed by Ava DuVernay

DuVernay is not unfamiliar with good directing – her notable works include Selma!

Jennifer Lee is writing the screenplay

Zootopia and Frozen have us convinced that Lee is the perfect writer for this film.
