Back To Yodeling
Disneyland’s Matterhorn has been closed to bobsled riders for close to 5 months now. During that time, the whole mountain and ride system recieved a complete renovation from top to bottom. The rurbishment included:
Complete repainting of the exterior of the mountain that required 20 levels scaffolding
Complete replacement of the bobsled track
Restoration of the loading/unloading area
Replacement of newly designed bobsleds
Take a look at the video above to see some of what Walt Disney Imagineers did during that 5 months that include the new retro bobsleds and new glassy snow!
Disney has also announced the return of the famous mountain climbers that have scaled the Matterhorn in the past. Be sure to catch them when they return along with the attraction itself…
The Matterhorn will reopen for bobsled rides and watch-only mountain climbing beginning on Friday, June 15!
