Behind some of the dazzling diamond Christmas decor at Disneyland.
While all the Star Wars: Season of the Force offerings are stealing our attention at the moment, we must not forget the Christmas-y feels, too.
Today is the official start of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort and that means every hall has been decked and every tree has been trimmed at the Happiest Place on Earth. ‘it’s a small world’ is shinning brightly and the merchandise shelves are stocked with holiday garb galore.
Since this year’s Christmas celebration is happening in conjunction with Disneyland’s Diamond Anniversary, a few decor changes have had to be made. Those changes got lots of frequent Disneylanders really upset, but we’d like to have them think otherwise.
While some of original decor items are gone like those iconic garlands that hung over Main Street U.S.A. and Sleeping Beauty’s Winter (LED) Castle, Disneyland has given a good effort to make this year’s celebration new, yet still merry and bright. No better example of that can be found in this year’s Christmas tree on Main Street U.S.A.
Watch the video above to see how Disneyland’s Resort Enhancement Department (the folks in charge of all the holiday overlays) gave an extra attention-to-detail to the tree this year in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the park.
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will last until January 6, 2016.
