Cast As A Soldier

When you meet a Disney Cast Member, you would have never guessed that one of them might be more than meets the eye. When we heard about Cast Member Russell Fenton, we knew this was the case.

1st Lt. Russell Fenton, as he is known to the U.S. Army, happens to also be a Cast Member in charge of construction projects at the Disneyland Resort. He recently returned from a 10-month deployment in Afghanistan managing construction projects over there and was recently awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the U.S. Armed Forces fourth-highest honor, for his work abroad.

As a Cast Member, Fenton mentioned that he received overwhelming support from his fellow Cast and the Disney Company while he was away. “Just knowing how well Disney takes care of military veterans, even when they are deployed and unable to work as cast members, speaks volumes about this company. Disney really values its people.”
