Circle D Ranch Animal “Meetings”

Disneyland truly cares about its animals. Not only are they well trained to walk down Main Street USA and stay still for petting for guests visiting the Resort, but they are also able to bring that same happiness to Disneyland’s cast members.

When these fine animals from the Circle D Ranch (Disneyland’s historic backstage animal tending area) aren’t grabbing the attention of resort guests, they take “meeting” with fellow (human) cast members as a means of training. Alex, one of the cast members at Circle D, said that these informal meetings with cast members help prepare the animals to go out on stage to interact with guests, and as well as give cast members the rare opportunity to meet and get to know these beautiful animals on a more personal basis.
