Costume, please.

The Walt Disney Company is unique because the people who work there are unique. We know that most of you know this but the reason why Disney calls its employees Cast Members is because they are part of a big show (called The Walt Disney Company)! Specifically at the Disney Parks, you’ll notice that the people that operate the rides and guide you to the exits after the fireworks are always in a specific costume. Moreover, they aren’t hired but are “cast” into the “role” after their “audition”.

The Disney Company is rooted from the desire to turn fantasy into reality and you usually get that in a theatrical production…hence the giant “show” that Disney employees work to create every time they work.

Take a look at the video above to see how the Disneyland Resort and its employees get ready for their roles everyday! It’s all in the costume.
