Couple battling a rare heart condition gets their dream Disneyland wedding

The Walt Disney Company is no stranger to making dreams come true, and with the help of Kleenex, Disney was able to grant a very special Once Upon a Dream wedding to an amazing couple: Ben and Kerry Leikin.

Ben and Kerry have a magical love story: their love overcomes the pressures of Kerry’s rare heart condition. Even though the condition often leaves her drained, Ben stays by her side.

“I knew it was gonna get hard later in life, but she’s worth it,” says Ben.

Disneyland became an important place for the couple, where they could enjoy themselves and forget about their troubles. When Ben asked Kerry to marry him, she said that her dream would be to get married at Disneyland, and while that dream was temporarily delayed and almost made impossible by medical bills, Disney and Kleenex stepped in, giving Ben and Kerry the chance to live out their dream Disneyland wedding.

This Once Upon a Dream Wedding is part of Kleenex’s “Someone Needs One” project, which aims to demonstrate how we can show the ones we love how much we care. The video showcases Ben and Kerry’s love for one another, finally made complete at The Happiest Place on Earth. Partnered with Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons, this project was able to overcome the impossible and give Ben and Kerry the dream wedding they deserve.
