D23 Expo 2017 tickets go on sale tomorrow!

D23 is the ultimate Disneycon to end all Disneycons. Hosted by the Walt Disney Company themselves, this expo brings every segment – from movies to products to stars to history, and beyond – to life for some of its most loyal fans.

The Expo is planned to take place July 14-16, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center. If it’s anything like last year’s, it’s sure to be very fun and very Disney.

Of course the opportunity to enjoy this Expo comes with a price – here’s what it’ll cost you to go to next year’s D23 Expo:

If you’ve kept up with previous D23 Expos, you’ll know that the price of admission is higher than ever. The price, for example, for a single day for an adult has jumped from last year’s price of $52 to $57 for next year. $5 doesn’t seem much, but then again at the first D23 Expo in 2009 a one-day adult ticket cost $37 – even lower than the child prices at the 2017 Expo! D23 seems to be following Disney’s infamous ticket price hike trend.

As someone who’s personally attended a D23 Expo herself, I believe that $57 is a pretty good price for what you’re getting. Additionally, I recommend getting a three-day ticket, if you can – it saves you money and gives you an opportunity to explore the Expo, which is typically huge and can take hours to see.

Still, I recognize that this Expo is $20 less accessible than the first, and if trends continue who knows how much attending an Expo will cost?

For now, I’m grateful the costs haven’t risen too high. The D23 Expo is really a fan’s dream, and if you love Disney I’m sure spending the $57 will be well worth it.

If all this talk about spending money worries you, also note that to celebrate the 2017 ticket sales, D23 will be screening presentations on their website from the 2015 Expo, including:

  • Once Upon a Time: An Evening with Snow White & the Evil Queen” (featuring Ginnifer Goodwin and Lana Parilla)

  • A Goofy Movie 20th Anniversary Celebration!” (featuring Bill Farmer, Jason Marsden, and Jim Cummings)

  • “Disneyland: Fond Memories of the Past” (with Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline)

  • “In Conversation with the Filmmakers and the Emotions Behind Inside Out” (featuring Pete Docter, Jonas Rivera, and Phyllis Smith).

If you weren’t able to attend the 2015 Expo, this is a great way to catch up on what you missed!

Tickets (as well as a limited number of special Sorcerer Package deals) for D23 Expo 2017 go on sale tomorrow, July 14.
