Accel-erate and Beyond.

The entirety of The Walt Disney Company is founded on making dreams come true. Whether it be seeing our favorite characters on TV in a regular series or seeing those characters and worlds in their theme parks, Disney seems to have it down for the majority of us. But that isn’t stopping them from making other people’s dreams come true too including the tech innovators looking to make their dreams a reality.

And for those tech dreamers whose projects are in line with consumer entertainment, they’ll have the opportunity to see their dreams realized thanks the entirety of The Walt Disney Company. Being called Disney Accelerator, this contest of sorts will bring together the unsurpassed resources of Disney with these tech dreamers who wish to see their projects come to life. They’ll do that by 1) having the senior management of the Company become mentors to these tech visionaries and 2) give $120,000 in investment capital to help develop their ideas.

Simply put, Disney is looking to make teach dreamers’ dreams come true by giving them money and other resources, as well as sound advice coming from Disney CEO Bob Iger and other industry executives. As Disney has proven that it is at the forefront of creating new experiences through the use of advanced technology, this opportunity would make a tremendous impact for anyone who has that idea but needs a catalyst (an “accelerator”) to make it all happen.

If you’re the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg and want your tech dreams to come true, then go ahead and submit your application through the program’s website by clicking HERE. You’ll also find more information on Disney Accelerator like qualifications and important FAQs. Applications will be accepted from now until April 16.

Ten projects will be selected to receive the program’s benefits when Disney Accelerator officially starts on June 30 ending with a final presentation of their realized ideas at a Demo Day in September.
