Frozen 2.

So, you’ve heard the rumors and desires of fans, but what really happens after “Frozen”? How does Elsa rule Arendelle while balancing her powers? Do Anna and Kristoff get married? What happens to Hans and his twelve brothers? Is summer everything Olaf expected it to be?

If you’re itching to know the answers to these and other questions, have no fear – Disney has just confirmed that a “Frozen” sequel is in the works!

Today at Disney’s 2015 Annual Meeting of Shareholders in San Francisco, Disney*Pixar chief creative John Lasseter, along with Disney CEO Bob Iger and voice of Olaf Josh Gad, announced that a sequel is in the works being headed up by directors of the original film Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, plus producer Peter Del Vecho.

No release date or additional information was announced.

“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”

This wasn’t the first time that we’ve heard about a “Frozen” sequel. Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa, gave short comments hinting at her involvement in the movie sequel.

Today’s announcement officially confirms Menzel’s previous comments and desires to do a sequel and we can now look forward to “Frozen 2”. Disney’s underlying decision to produce a sequel is another business-minded decision to keep the popularity of the franchise up and money flowing.

Still, that shouldn’t be a problem for us, those who can’t hold back anymore and have already given Disney billions of dollars of our own money because of the franchise.

So don’t let it bother you anyway!
