Disney Broadway shows now offering same-day lottery and rush tickets

As with most Broadway shows (even more so for the ones put on the real Broadway in New York City), it always proves to be difficult to get tickets and tickets with good seating in particular. If you don’t have the cash or if you don’t buy way in advance, chances are that your Broadway show experience might be a little less magical.

But if you’re interested in seeing one of Disney’s Broadway musical productions currently playing in New York City, your chances of getting tickets that aren’t the nosebleed seats have increased. Disney Theatrical Productions has announced that they have begun new ticket programs for both “Newsies” and the recently opened “Aladdin”.

For “Newsies” rush tickets (aka unsold tickets which are usually in the expensive, but great seating section) will be offered on a first come, first served basis at the Nederlander Theatre where the show is play beginning at 10 AM. Cost is $30 and limit two tickets per person.

For “Aladdin”, patrons are welcome to arrive 2 1/2 hours before each performance and put their names into a lottery drawing for the chance at buying some unsold, but great seating tickets too! Drawings will be held 2 hours before each performance in front of the New Amsterdam Theatre. Lottery winners will then have the chance to purchase tickets at $30 each with a limit purchase of two.

Both ticket programs are cash only and are subject to availability.
