Disney CEO Bob Iger to be inducted into Toy Industry Association Hall of Fame

Robert “Bob” Iger, Disney’s current CEO, has been honored with many awards because of his achievements in his role. This most recent award has to be the most interesting (and playful).

The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has selected Iger to be inducted in their Esteemed Hall of Fame “in recognition of his significant contributions to the industry and the impact his work has had on the lives of children worldwide.”

“Just about every child around the globe has been touched by the magic of Disney,” said TIA President & CEO, Steve Pasierb. “Mr. Iger has done an impressive job of building on Disney’s rich history and growing their storytelling portfolio, creating new experiences and unforgettable memories for generations of kids to come.”

Iger’s passion for spurring on the creation of the next generation of toys for kids and their parents (e.g. Disney Infinity, Sphero’s BB-8, etc.) are just some of the examples that make him deserving of such an award.

He’ll accept the award at a 2016 ceremony as part of the 16th Annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards on Friday evening, February 12, 2016 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
