Kingdom Hearts III. (with Gameplay Video from D23 Expo Japan)

It has been a couple of years since the last time we saw Sora. Kingdom Hearts was a beloved game by Disney and video game fans alike and still remains a favorite for those who have followed the characters and gameplay throughout the years. It wasn’t until recently that Disney decided to bring back the game and put the spotlight back on Sora and his Disney friends with the release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 announced, which reignited passion for the game.

But with a reignited passion came more speculation and rumors thats developers were in the process of creating a new story and saga for Sora. Well, speculate and rumor no more, friends, as we’re happy to share the news that Kingdom Hearts 3 is indeed in development as we speak! Attendees of the first D23 Expo Japan had the opportunity to view the first scenes of gameplay at a special presentation and we’re happy to share the exact video they saw just a few hours away right here on DisneyExaminer!

Here’s the story behind the new game:

Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently in development by Square Enix (the same developers of the previous Kingdom Hearts games) for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A release date has yet to be announced.
