Disney Holiday Gifts For Under $10

It’s that time of the year! After the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie have been consumed, attention gets placed on holiday shopping. In particular, it can be a stressful time trying to figure out what to get for your loved ones, especially if you’re living within a budget, but don’t fret! We have a holiday shopping guide that will not only satisfy the Disney fans in your life but will also be good for your wallet.

First off: the rules.

We wanted to find items that could be found at Downtown Disney in California. This way, no one would have to pay park admission or parking fees, so long as your trip was 3 hours long (or 5 hours with validation). We also tried to keep each item within $10 (a few were a couple of dollars extra), before tax. Finally, we wanted to pick items that were fun, unique, and in a few cases, maybe a little practical, but definitely not touristy. Having a budget does not mean you have to buy your loved ones key chains and magnets for Christmas.

Let’s get started!

The first stop was World of Disney where you can find just about anything Disney-related. Not surprisingly, quite a few items were out of our price range, but there were some very interesting pieces we found that were within our budget.

The cutest and most fun Disney trend right now is Tsum Tsum. Not only is it a highly addictive game, but there is also a really adorable plush collection associated with it. The plush collection comes in three sizes, with the most affordable being the minis ($5.95 or 3 for $15). Right now, World of Disney has the mini plus collections for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Toy Story available for purchase.

World of Disney has some really cool and fun pens ($9.95) from light-up ones to pens that transform into something else when you click them. Of course, if there are pens, there have to be erasers nearby. These giant erasers ($9.95) can be used the normal way, but they look so much like collectible figures that budding collectors may think this is a more affordable way to get their start. They come in bright, bold colors, and in such shapes as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and the Little Mermaid.

For those who love to cook, there are a few items that meet our budget. These Mickey and Minnie bowls ($9.95) are so durable you’d think they would be a little bit more expensive than they actually are. There are also some Mickey-themed bottle stoppers ($9.95) for the wine connoisseurs and Mickey glove bag clips ($5.95) for those who might prefer chips over wine some nights! The reusable tote bags, which come in handy for your eco-aware friends, are great for shopping and storage (prices vary: $4.95 for medium and large sizes, $11.95 for jumbo).

We also have you covered if you love to decorate your office space. Magnet and non-magnet clips ($9.99) work great to keep your papers together, while the Mickey-themed sticky tabs (3 for $5) keep your space fun and interesting. Kids also love them because they look like stickers.

A decorative border puzzle of the Disneyland park ($9.95) would be a good gift for families, as well as for the game enthusiasts in your life. Plus, a puzzle not only helps to keep people engaged, but afterwards, if you want to keep the completed project whole, buy some puzzle glue, and you have something to decorate your wall. Another gift that would work great for families is taffy ($7.95), which, to many, brings back so many nostalgic moments. It comes in a decorative box designed with many of Disneyland’s most iconic images and characters. And although we did say we’d stay away from magnets, the magnetic photo frames ($9.95) are great keepsakes for your most treasured moments.

While most clothing items were out of our budget, these fun socks ($9.95) are the perfect accessories as the weather starts to get a lot cooler. The Charmed in the Park charms (prices vary between $4.95-$9.95) are also really cool gifts, which allow you to be a little bit more creative. More keepsakes that your loved ones may enjoy are the Pieces of Magic (6 for $10). It is, after all, Disneyland, and what better gift can you give than these charms that read, “dream, “live well, “thinking of you,” and “happily ever after.”

What trip to World of Disney would be complete without looking at pins (prices vary; the ones in our budget are from $7.95-$9.95). Pins would satisfy not only the pin collectors in your family but any Disney fan. There are attraction pins, character pins, movie pins – so many to choose from – that you can find just about anything for the loved ones in your life. However, for those who prefer buttons, World of Disney has that covered too (3 for $5).

While that’s certainly a lot to choose from, there are a few more places to check out if you still can’t find something within your budget.

Our next stop was Marceline’s Confectionery for their wonderful caramel gourmet apples (prices vary from $5.79-$12.99, with most at $9.99). These are fresh and handmade, and can usually be eaten by more than one person! When you buy them, you can have the cast member place them in plastic containers for easier transport and storage. They will last 6-7 days in the refrigerator.

Next up was D Street. You can find a lot of cool and fun collectible pieces, toys, and t-shirts, but for the budget-conscious, what really stood out were the notebooks ($10), as well as the fun – and funny! – items like bacon lip balms, cupcake air fresheners, mustache bandages, and Marvel-themed PEZ candy dispensers ($3-8), which would be great as stocking stuffers. The Create Your Own Vinylmation ($8.95) provide great canvases for those who are little bit more creative. Pair one with stickers, markers, or paints, and that would satisfy the artists in your life.

Our last stop was WonderGround Gallery. Most people would not think to go in here if they have a $10 budget. However, most of the artwork that can be found on their canvases, prints, t-shirts, and mugs, can also be found on their much more affordable postcards ($3.45-$4.95).

We hope this provides a starting point for all of you who are looking to get the Disney fans in your life something for this holiday season. With a little bit of time and effort, it is possible to find a unique and fun gift at Disneyland, all while staying within budget.
