Disney and Hulu strike a deal to stream classics
Back in September, Netflix scored a deal with Disney to have exclusive rights to stream the latest Disney theatrical releases. Not to be outdone, Hulu announced that they have signed a deal with Disney to stream old titles.
So while you can watch “Zootopia” and “Captain America: Civil War” on Netflix, you can revisit your childhood on Hulu with “Pocahontas” and “Hercules”.
This new agreement will allow Hulu to stream over 50 popular titles, which will be released over the next couple months. “Air Bud”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, and “Sister Act” are just a few familiar titles that will be available on Hulu.
“Expanding our offering of top-rated kids and family programming has been a top priority for us, and we know viewers will love watching these films over and over again on our service,” Craig Erwich, Hulu SVP, Head of Content stated.
And while there’s no official list containing every title that is heading to Hulu, we’re left to guess which of our favorite Disney classics will appear on the streaming site. Which Disney movie would you like to see?
