Disney Interactive Gets Fantasia And A Lone Ranger

Disney Interactive has been known to be the “lesser” of the divisions of The Walt Disney Company, but ever since the debut of their newest and boldest gaming initiative called Disney Infinity, we know that they are well on their way to making a better and bigger name for themselves.

This week alone, they released information on upcoming games that they will be releasing this year. One of the new games is a spin on the dancing games with inspiration from Disney’s classic movie musical “Fantasia.” The game called “Fantasia: Music Evolved” will use Xbox Kinect technology where players will be able to “control the music” and make music mixes of their own. The second piece of news includes an update to their Disney Infinity game system. In addition to the Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean, Cars, and The Incredibles playsets, game developers announced that “The Lone Ranger” will also be making its way into the game with its own playset. The release of the playset will help market the Disney Studios’ film release in July, mimicking what Disney Interactive is doing with Pixar’s upcoming release of “Monsters University.” Click HERE for video of the gameplay with The Lone Ranger and Tonto. Disney Infinity is set for release in August 2013. For more information on Disney Infinity, click HERE for our in-depth review at the world debut event earlier this year.
