Disney Parks and Resorts now offer gluten-free “Snacks with Character”

In an effort to meet the needs of guests with special diets and food allergies, Disney Parks and Resorts now offer “Snacks with Character,” a new line of Disney-branded packaged snacks. The line was developed by various departments in the company including Disney’s Merchandise Product Development Department, Food and Beverage Health and Wellness, and the Disney Design Group in conjunction with suppliers such as Ocean Spray, Enjoy Life Foods, Way Better Snacks, and WOW Baking Company.

“We listened to guests who said they wanted options when it comes to snacks at Disney Parks. We hope guests will enjoy these new tasty treats that are fun to share,” said Patrice Guy, merchandiser at Disney Theme Park Merchandise.

Merchandise locations at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani Disney Resort and Spa now carry Snacks with Character’s 11 new snack products. The packaging on these products include vintage renditions of your pals Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, have clear, straightforward labeling, and a comprehensive ingredients panel. These snack alternatives address vegan and celiac dietary concerns such as whether or not a product is gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, or GMO-free.

The simple and clean packaging resembling tree bark really highlights the fact that these items are made with natural ingredients. Indeed, WOW (With-Out-Wheat) Baking Company, a supplier Disney worked with in creating these products, is committed to producing delicious yet all-natural, gluten-free products made from premium ingredients.

Finally, a snack celiacs and vegans can enjoy at the parks. A list of items in the line include:

• Crunchy Cookie – Chocolate Chip and Sugar Crisp ($2.59)

• Cookie Bag – Lemon Burst and Chocolate Chip ($6.95)

• Tortilla Chips – Sweet Potato and Sweet Chili ($3.45)

• Seed and Fruit Mix – Mountain Mambo ($3.45)

• Snack Bars – Chocolate Sunseed, Cinnamon Bun, Dark Chocolate, and Ricemilk Choco ($3.45)

Snacks with Character are also available at select food and beverage locations at Walt Disney World Resort. Look for the Disney Dining Plan logo to include these snacks in your plan.
