Disney Park’s Playful People Puppets.

It was 10 years ago that Disney Junior: Live on Stage (which was known as Playhouse Disney: Live on Stage) debuted at Disney California Adventure Park. The live puppet show has changed throughout the years, but now brings characters from 2 new shows from the Disney Junior series which are “Doc McStuffins” and “Sofia the First.”

The new characters are being brought to life for young Disney kids every day by puppet master Scott Silson at the Disneyland Resort. In the video above, he talks about how he and his brother James Silson (who is the puppet master in Walt Disney World Resort) work together to create these new characters and put them in the show.

Puppeteering for the Silson brothers has gone back way before working at the Disney Parks. They use to travel the country performing with their parents and three other siblings, so we’re dealing with professional puppeteers folks – no doubt about that!

Disney Junior: Live on Stage has multiple performances everyday inside the Disney Theater in HollywoodLand in DCA. Be sure to check out those showtimes with a times guide when you enter the park!
