Personally, when I feel like I’ve made a poor choice I tend to dwell on it longer than I should. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I wish I could go back and change that one thing, I can’t. I’m sure many of us have felt this way before, but don’t have any regrets! You may not be able to change your past, but you have the power to change your future. Learning comes from making mistakes, and that’s perfectly fine!

My family is my core. This quote is especially important to me because we’ve been through thick and thin, but no matter what life has thrown at us, we’ve always come out stronger on the other side. The bond shared with family can be the most powerful one. Family comes first.

Every once in a while I doubt myself, and it gets to the point where I question my abilities and potential. I think this is an important quote for any adolescent to remember. Just remember that you do have a purpose in life, and you don’t have to have it all figured out right away. It may take a little longer for you to find that purpose, but that’s okay! Shake off the self-doubt, believe in yourself and you’re halfway there!

5. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” – The Emperor (Mulan)

There’s always going to be someone prettier, someone smarter, and someone more popular, but there will never be anyone like you. What makes you special and unique is what makes you beautiful. Be proud of that! Own who you are with confidence and embrace all the qualities that make you special.

This one is so simple, yet has huge meaning. As an introvert, I tend to like staying inside my comfort zone where it’s safe. It’s important to take risks every once in a while, because, who knows, they just might be worth it.

There’s nothing more empowering than feeling comfortable in your own skin. If you can be yourself without caring what anyone thinks, then hats off to you! We are all special in our own ways and it’s important to celebrate that! Never compare yourself to anyone because we are all different.
