Disney seeks Guardians for Good coinciding with the release of the next Marvel film

For the past few Marvel films, the Walt Disney Studios have launched campaigns that have not only promoted the film, but create social good as well. We saw that with the Iron Man Inventor and Innovator Fair and the Thor Ultimate Mentor Adventure that sought to find the “super heroes” in science and leadership that are waiting to be discovered in our own world. Those social good campaigns will continue with the announcement of the “Guardians for Good” campaign.

The newest campaign will feature a search for people who have been bettering their communities through service, science, and innovation, who will be named these Guardians for Good. The search coincides with the release of Marvel’s next film in their cinematic universe called “Guardians of the Galaxy”, which hits theaters in August 2014.

The search for these Guardians has already begun through an online application. After an interview process with selected applicants, five (5) winners will be chosen to participate in a first-of-its-kind mentorship summit at the Walt Disney Studios, a backstage VIP tour of the Disneyland Resort, and tickets to the world premiere of “Guardians of the Galaxy” in July.
