Disney’s “The Lion King” musical is keeping the story of Pride Rock alive

For over 18 years, Disney’s “The Lion King” musical has carried the story of Pride Rock to audiences who’ve loved the animated film. It also has done a lot to carry that story to a new generation of audience that didn’t grow up with the film.

Our own Trevor Perez goes into how the musical and everything in has done that multi-generational storytelling in our exclusive video, part of our new DisneyExaminer Films series.

Take a look in the video above!

And after watching it makes you want to see the musical for yourself, hakuna matata!

Be sure to get your tickets to the special, limited-time engagement happening at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California now until November 1, 2015.

Special thanks to our friends at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and the touring cast and crew of Disney’s “The Lion King” (with Disney Theatrical Productions) for some special footage used in the film.
