Disneyland is looking for high school dreamers…who also do.

The Disneyland Resort is an active member in their community of Anaheim, California. From hosting family workshops to donating toys and tickets, the resort really makes an effort in extending the magic outside of the theme park gates.

For high schoolers who are in the surrounding area, Disneyland wants to make their lives a lot more magical in exchange for a lot of good work. The Dreamers & Doers Program is a new initiative that encourages youth to make a difference in their communities – whether that be mentoring those younger than they or selling lemonade and donating the money to charity.

These types of “dreamers” will then have the opportunity to win prizes for their work and for their schools, including Disneyland Park Hopper tickets, an invite to a special luncheon, and grants to further their education.

In addition to the initiative, those Orange County, California high school students who think they have an a motivational story are encouraged to create a video of why they deserve to be counted as part of this inaugural first group of dreamers, which will be part of the official program video.

It’s great to see Disneyland once again use its magical power to bring a lot of good out of the world and this program is just another example of its great corporate citizenship that started with Walt Disney. It’s in his “dream it, do it” attitude that will inspire these high school students to do the same.
