Disneyland’s newest annual pass is $599 and doesn’t really have a set number of days you can go

Today, Disneyland shared news on their newest annual pass called the Disney Flex Passport. While the price is not flexible (at $599, the original cost of the SoCal Pass only available via renewal), the thing that is in “flux” is the days you’ll be able to visit.

There isn’t a guaranteed amount of days that you’ll be able to visit the SoCal Disney Parks. It really all depends on two major things: your effort AND Disneyland’s guest control calendar planners.

Disneyland is saying that there are a “handful” of “Good-to-go” days that will allow free access into either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure parks. This includes mainly off-peak days of Monday through Friday during February through May and September through October, some Fridays in November and January through March. There will

Access on the other handful of days mainly summer months of June through August and major holidays like Christmas are TBD. If you’d like to go during these days, a reservation will be needed and can be made on the Disneyland app and website.

A reservation does not guarantee admission into either park. There will also be a handful of days that no admission will be granted at all.

This all will be determined by Disney’s guest control planners who’ll have the power to cap the number of reservation-required days. While that control will be static and won’t change once set (Disneyland will not share how they will be set), this variable and your access will be determined nonetheless.

In short, the Disney Flex Passport is a great gift for the California local or occasional visitor who may come down to visit during the off-peak season or plans a vacation well in advance for a holiday stop. It won’t be great for someone who doesn’t plan and wants to go when they want to go.

While all the dates of access are flex-ing, one thing is for sure: if you are planning to visit Galaxy’s Edge during the mandatory reservation period, you can use this pass for access on your reservation day! Just not afterwards. Maybe.

The pass will be available for purchase online and at Disneyland ticket booths starting May 21.
